Currently our club is called Caulfield South Netball Club which no longer represent the majority of our players which are located in Elwood / Elsternwick communities. Research shows that there is a high risk of girls leaving sports when they reach their teens.
Our club is looking at ways to stem this through creating a stronger club identity linking back to our local community and feeder schools.
We have several initiatives in our pipeline we would like to implement with this funding:
– Rename our club to Elwood Netball Club
– Refresh uniforms to reflect local club name and identify with local school community colours (our redundant uniforms will be donated to disadvantaged communities)
– In an ideal world we would replace old stock with rebranded new stock when required.
– To appeal to our teenage players (and parents) a website and social media update will required.
– In an attempt to further embed our teens into our club and culture we are promoting exciting coaching courses and pathways which will be provided to junior coaches at no cost. This will not only help to encourage self confidence and leadership, but give teens an opportunity to contribute to their community.
