St Anthony’s Glen Huntly Netball Club has been a part of the local community for more than 90 years. We originally participated in the South Eastern Metropolitan Churches Netball Association and, in 1992, were one of the founding clubs of the Caulfield and District Netball Association.
In order to continue our long history and our mission to be the ‘social’ netball club – where kids can play together in the same team from Under 11s right through to Under 25s – we must continue to attract new players and teams. To do this, we have created a project to rejuvenate the club by revising our website; obtaining sponsorship from local businesses for advertising boards; running a 10 week introduction to netball program for grade 1 and 2 students at local schools; and revitalising our current uniforms which have been in place for more than 10 years.
Currently, our Under 11s teams wear a white polo and an old fashioned pleated maroon skirt, while our older age groups where a skirt and top specifically designed for St Anthony’s. We seek to provide all of our teams with a recognisable; brand and modern sports uniform comprising of a dress for girls and singlet and shorts for boys; short bike shorts for underneath the dress; and a club hoodie. We aim to continue to use our current tops as training tops so that players do not have to purchase these new.
