Trinity Netball Club is a small local club who fields eleven teams ranging from the Net Set Go program to open senior grades.
We currently train at Ringwood Heights Primary school where the school allows us to use their facilities free of charge. The current surface is slippery and unsafe to train on in the wet. The Primary School has advised that the cost to refurbish all of the courts would be $16,000. The school is currently raising funds to refurbish the courts. If the Trinity Netball Club were successful in gaining the $20,000 grant, we would contribute $8,000 towards refurbishing the netball training courts.
The Trinity Netball Club and the Ringwood Height school community would benefit from the upgrade of these courts. The upgrade of the courts would improve safety standards, continue to support physical activity by the community, support social connectivity within the community and contributes to community health and wellbeing.
As a small netball club we fundraise which assists in purchasing essential equipment for the club. We would like to purchase new coaches training bags and first aid kits which desperately need to be replaced. We would propose to spend $5,000 on the upgrading of essential equipment.
The club relies heavily on parent and community support. All our coaches are senior players or parents. We would like to support these volunteer coaches by sending them to a netball development training course. This would assist team coach confidence and provide leadership skills, it would further benefit our players with their netball development. We would propose to spend $4,000 to send our eleven coaches to a netball development training course.
The remaining balance we would like to utilise on some specialist clinics for our players and for promoting the club within the local area to attract more players and strengthening our team within the community.
